End of Term 2

Wow Term 2 has now come to an end! We have had a fantastic and busy term. 

A big thank you to all the children for their hard work and happy smiles.

Term 3 begins Monday 25th July 8:55am.

I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday with your family and friends.

Wig Wednesday

Room 11 supporting Child Cancer Foundation on Wig Wednesday.

Lots of coins were brought in for the House Coin Trail and Stanley Ave raised the most money it ever has on a mufti day. Well done!

Reading to Learn

This week we learnt about Matariki, a celebration for the Maori New Year. 

We have some great readers in Room 11 and a big focus for us is understanding what we read. With a buddy, we read a short article about Matariki and answered some questions. We had to re-read some parts of the article to find answers.

Zero-Waste!

This week we had Miss B from Zero Waste come in and teach us how we can 

re-use things instead of throwing them away.

We made Desktop Tidy's out of a tin can and other materials like straws, cardboard and buttons. Check out some of the finished products!
