Today was the Senior Swimming Sports and two of our lovely Room 11 students were able to take part since they were 8 years old at the start of this year.
Amy and Shaye did so well getting involved in this big event and participated in 2 races each! The highlight of the day (for me) was when all of Room 11 came out with Mrs Hamilton to support their classmates and watch Amy and Shayes race. So supportive!
It was a great day, good weather and great spirits. I look forward to seeing all of Room 11 out there next year! :) Well done girls!

The Dream Team
Mrs Hamilton and I have had an awesome 3 weeks in Room 11.
Mrs H was so impressed on her first day that she named the class, The Dream Team!
Recently we have been learning:
- how to say "My name is ______" in Maori
- how to say Good Morning in sign language
- how to use punctuation
- how to use the ipads (Popplet)
- how to measure with our rulers and estimate
- how to use adjectives in our writing
We have also done lots of art like, "What's in your brain?" self-portraits, writing our names with pastels, describing our Bunyip monsters and creating our own 'parachutes.' As well as all of this we are getting to know each other better as a class and focusing on our Values to have a positive learning space.
Hoping to post some pictures up soon! :)

Our Values, Our Treaty!
We based our Class Treaty off of our four school Values:
Learning is our Focus
We Respect and Support each other
We work as a team
We care for our environment
We Respect and Support each other
We work as a team
We care for our environment
We brainstormed what these values mean to us and what it might look like in Room 11.
We read the 'Terms and Conditions' of our treaty and this week we signed our treaty by putting our fingerprint on the 'I Agree' button.

Class of 2015
We were a complete class today so we thought it would be great to take an early class photo. Check out Room 11 2015!
It has been so nice getting to know all of the children, such fun-loving personalities and everyone gets along so well. Everyone was also very welcoming to a new student to the class; Welcome to Stanley Ave Michael!
Can't waste the beautiful days, today we went out for some relays to get our bodies moving.
